Alvin Hall's Wall Street Walk: Inside Lehman Brothers

As the financial crisis sends shockwaves around the world, Alvin Hall visits its epicentre - Wall Street - to discover the human stories behind the credit crunch.

Sophie - not her real name - has watched Lehman Brothers collapse from the inside and has seen this take its toll on friends and colleagues. She, like many others, is waiting to find out whether Barclays Capital - who bought part of Lehman's - will give her long-term employment.

The Crash: Alvin Hall's Wall Street Walk will be broadcast on Radio 4 on Thursday 23 October at 1100 BST.
