Samsung aims to increase its sales of flat-screen TVs by 80% this year, the South Korean firm has said.

The group has raised its global sales target to 13.5 million units this year from 7.5 million last year.
Meanwhile, Samsung expects overall TV sales to increase 20% this year from the 20 million in 2006.
It added that it planned to strengthen its position as market leader in developed markets, and make greater inroads into developing countries.
"The sale of flat-panel TVs will outpace that of projection TVs and traditional flat picture tube TVs in terms of both value and volume this year," the group said in a statement.
However, the company did warn that the global market would also face stiffer competition, and further falls in margins as companies cut prices to boost sales.
Samsung digital media president Choi Gee-Sung made the promise during a press conference at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
He also said the division was eyeing profits of 1 trillion won ($1bn; £517m) for 2007.
The comment came despite Samsung posting a drop in third quarter operating profits in October.
Profits for the three months to 30 September hit 1.85 trillion won ($1.8bn; £1bn), down from 2.13 trillion won in the same period of 2005.
However, the group did say it expected margins and sales to rise in the final three months of the year. Samsung posts its full year results on 12 January.
