FBI looks at possible Cisco theft
The FBI is on the case
The FBI is investigating a possible theft of key source code software from computer company Cisco Systems.

"We're aware of the situation and we're working with Cisco," said a spokesman for the FBI.

Source code is the underlying blueprint of computer software and determines how programs work.

Cisco, which asked the FBI to look into the matter, specialises in systems that direct internet traffic. It would not say if any of its code had been taken.

Hackers could potentially use the code to damage Cisco's operating systems.
