Avon's offer was "subject to availability"

Cosmetics firm Avon might be famous for its 'Avon Calling' slogan, but a free mobile phone promotion has left some customers with an "engaged" tone.
Customers who spent £15 on Avon Anew skincare were offered a voucher for a free mobile phone at Orange shops.
But not everyone who signed up for the offer has received a voucher, because the promotion was too popular.
The unprecedented demand has also caused delays when customers pick up their free phones at Orange shops.
Discount offer
Customers have until 30 April to present their voucher at an Orange shop, although they may have to wait a few days before they get their phone.
"Orange shops that do not have enough promotional phones available are taking details of Avon customers and will contact them when new stock arrives," a spokesman said.
"It has been a very popular promotion that has exceeded our expectations."
The voucher can be swapped at any Orange shop for a Pay As You Go Siemens A55, a Pay Monthly Nokia 6100 phone, or equivalent.
Avon said 80% of customers who expected a voucher had received them.
Those who did not receive their vouchers have been offered the company's new Anew skincare products at half price, providing they originally spent £15 or more on that particular range as part of their order.
