Christmas shoppers are this year set to buy more than ever online, according to a new survey.
Shopping online is now big business
E-spending over the holiday period could be worth £3.3bn if current trends continue, says the Interactive Media and Retail Group, a trade body.
Consumers spent over £1bn online in the last month for the second consecutive month.
The IMRG's e-retail sales index is now at 1357, up from 100 when it was first compiled in April 2000.

It was also the 5th time that the IMRG's index valued internet retail in Britain in excess of £1bn in one month.
"It's ramping up to be an excellent e-Christmas," IMRG's Managing Director Jo Tucker said.
According to IMRG figures the market share of visits to shopping websites is up 48% since last December.
Christmas is traditionally a vital period for retailers and online
enterprises will be looking to benefit this year from increased internet penetration across the country and the spread of high-speed broadband services, which make it easier for consumers to browse online.
