Chavez wins easy victory
The poll - covering almost every elected position in the country - has "re-legitimised" Venezuela's officials under a new constitution backed by Mr Chavez, which was approved in a referendum last December. The National Electoral Council had twice delayed closing polling stations to allow long queues of people to cast their ballots. The BBC's Peter Greste is in Caracas.
