Philip Avery
Philip is one of BBC News 24's top weather presenters. He trained in meteorology and oceanography in the Royal Navy and began broadcasting for the BBC in 1998.

Darren Bett Darren Bett
Darren worked for the Met Office as a forecaster before moving into broadcasting for the BBC in 1994.

David Braine
David is the deputy broadcast manager at the BBC Weather Centre and came to the BBC from the Royal Navy in 1995.

Alex Deakin
Alex, who trained in physics and astrophysics, joined the Met Office in 1997 and began broadcasting for the BBC in 2001.

Peter Gibbs
Peter joined the Met Office in 1983 and forecast for the RAF amongst others, moving to television in 1993 as a BBC broadcast meteorologist.

Carol Kirkwood
Carol has worked as a broadcaster for radio and TV, moving into broadcast meteorology in 1996 and joined the Met Office to broadcast for the BBC in 1998.

Isobel Lang Isobel Lang
Isobel, who trained in mathematics, joined the Met Office in 1991 and began broadcasting for the BBC in 1995.

Rob McElwee Rob McElwee
Rob joined the Met Office in 1982, where he forecast for the RAF and became a member of the BBC's weather team in 1991.

Nina Ridge
Nina spent some time teaching in Kent before joining the Met Office in December 2000. After a period of training she now broadcasts over a range of BBC Channels.

Elizabeth Saary
After studying and travelling, Elizabeth decided on weather presenting and joined the BBC in April 2001 to train as a Broadcast Meteorologist.

Penny Tranter Penny Tranter
Penny, who trained in environmental sciences, joined the Met Office in 1983 and the BBC's weather team in 1992.

Helen Willetts Helen Willetts
Helen, who trained in physics, joined the Met Office in 1994 and began broadcasting for the BBC in 1995.

Sarah Wilmhurst Sarah Wilmshurst
Sarah worked as a forecaster for a number of Met Office centres after joining them in 1993, and she came to the BBC in 1997.
