Kevin Rudd confident of Copenhagen climate 'framework'

Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has said he believes the framework for an agreement can be reached at the Copenhagen summit on climate change.

Australia is the world's leading exporter of coal.

He is urging other nations to sign up to a deal at the summit - but the UN and some governments have said a pact to replace the Kyoto Treaty could be as much as a year away.

Nick Bryant reports from Canberra.
