Obama on relations with China

President Obama is in Shanghai for his first state visit to China, the latest stage of his Asian tour.

In his opening remarks as he gave a speech to students in Shanghai, Mr Obama praised the people of China for their history and recent economic growth.

He also said that the US and China are not predestined to be adversaries.
