Praise for child migrants' spirit

Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has praised the "spirit" of the hundreds of thousands of "forgotten Australians" in his national apology to them.

He said he could not give them back their childhoods, but he could celebrate the "spirit that has stubbornly refused to be beaten".
