Sharp rise in Australia swine flu

The number of swine flu cases in Australia is continuing to rise dramatically, with doctors saying there are now many more people infected than the official figure of 1400.

Scientists are now studying swine flu carefully as winter sets in to see if it mutates into a strain which is resistant to drugs.

Their research should give the best indication of how the virus may impact as winter hits other parts of the world.
