Quake may have caused eruption

The extraordinary sight of steam and ash spewing out of the Pacific Ocean has had scientists heading for the island of Tonga to try and see what the long term effects might be.

It's shooting out of an underwater volcano while an earthquake on the sea bed has thrown up yet more magma.

The BBC's environment correspondent David Shukman reports.
