Protesters believed to be from the People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) have opened fire on a group of government supporters in the Thai capital, Bangkok.

The footage aired by Thai public broadcaster TPBS, shows shooting on a highway leading to the city's old airport.

Later, protestors staged a blockade at Bangkok's international Suvarnabhumi Airport.

The alliance has been protesting for several months, and is currently occupying the government compound and parliament.
