Fire at national park in Thailand
Hundreds of firefighters in Thailand are continuing to try to control a forest fire which has been burning for more than a week at the Khao Yai National Park, about two hundred kilometres northeast of Bangkok. Hundreds of acres hectaresof trees have already been destroyed. Officials say the fire is being aggravated by unseasonably dry weather. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
