The Indonesian island of Sumatra has been hit by another strong earthquake, seismologists said on Monday.
The epicentre of the 6.1 magnitude quake was about 270km (167 miles) south-west of Medan, Hong Kong experts told the Associated Press.
There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
Sumatra has been hit by regular quakes since last year's 9.3 magnitude quake triggered Indian Ocean tsunamis that killed more than 220,000 people.
On Sunday a 6.7-magnitude quake hit the region, causing many hundreds of people in the coastal city of Padang to flee their homes.
Islands off the west coast of Sumatra were also hit by a tremor measuring 8.7 on 28 March.
As many as 1,300 people are thought to have died in that disaster, most of them on the small island of Nias.
