China space launch: Jane Yuan
Despite space exploration, China still needs to go a long way.

MEET THE PANEL
Name: Jane Yuan
Age: 41
Lives: Shanghai
Works: Scientific researcher

My research is in the field of natural materials. I know that we use too many of the Earth's resources.

My research helps us protect the environment, we should not exploit our Earth with constant use of natural resources.

Who knows? Maybe space will provide some answers.

The space launch is significant for China, because in this field we are a developing country.

We are quite backward when it comes to science and technology, compared to other countries. Remember, Russia sent the first man to space in the 1960s.

However, I believe that space exploration is important for every country.

I know the people who worked on this project worked very hard and I want this space launch to be a success and I am happy at any progress China can make.

At the very least, China is making its voice heard in the world. We are trying to become stronger.
