A conference on malnutrition in Cambodia has been opened in Phnom Penh by the prime minister, Hun Sen.

The meeting is expected to adopt a ninety million dollar programme that aims to halve levels of malnutrition and anemia in the country within ten years.

A recent study by showed that in some rural areas of Cambodia nearly half the children under five had stunted growth due to poor nutrition.
