Chinese police arrest pirates

Reports from China say about 20 people have been arrested for attacking a Hong Kong cargo ship in the South China Sea last November and killing all 23 of its crew.

The China News Service said police in the southern province of Guandong had also seized guns and two ships.

The International Maritime Bureau in Kuala Lumpur has reported that ship hijackings in Asian waters are becoming more frequent and more violent.
