Asian Games Taekwondo marred by violence

Incidents of violence have continued to plague taekwondo martial arts competitions at the Asian Games in Bangkok.

Irate spectators have protested against some jury decisions by throwing plastic bottles and other objects into the ring, forcing police to intervene to protect the juries and separate groups of rival spectators.

Correspondents say the incidents will be embarrassing for officials of the taekwondo sport, which is due to make its Olympic debut in the Sydney Olympics in less than two years' time.
