Megawati winds up Asean tour
The President of Indonesia, Megawati Sukarnoputri, is in Malaysia on the final leg of a regional tour that has taken her to nine Asean countries in eight days.
During her two-day stay in Malaysia, Megawati will meet the prime minister, Mahatir Mohamad, for talks that are expected to look at ways to improve the Indonesian economy. Correspondents say Megawati's tour has also had the aim of convincing neighbouring countries of her determination to tackle political turbulence in Indonesia after the removal from power of her predecessor, Abderrahman Wahid.
