Three resign from the executive board of Indonesia's ruling party

Three members of the recently appointed executive board of Indonesia's dominant political party, Golkar, have resigned after expressing dissatisfaction over the make-up of the new board.

The influential, one hundred-and-thirty-seven member board was named at the weekend shortly after a new party chairman was elected by a special congress.

Critics of the new executive board have described it as being dominated by allies of the Indonesian leader, President B.J. Habibie.
