Reports of bomb in Tibetan capital

Reports from the Tibetan capital, Lhasa, say a bomb exploded near the city'smain police station last Wednesday -- the day before the start of President Clinton's visit to China.

The Chinese authorities in Tibet are reported to have said there were no casualties.

Correspondents say Tibetan separatists have carried out a series of bomb attacks in recent years in their campaign for independence from China.
