Lakes local appeals for help

A large number of fell runners are stranded by flooding and torrential rain near Keswick in the Lake District, according to a local man at the scene.

Honister Slate Mine Manager Mark Weir called on members of the community to help in rescue efforts as darkness fell over the area - 1845 BST.
