This BBC News series focuses on aspects of life in countries and cities around the world. What may seem ordinary and familiar to the people who live there can be surprising to those who do not.

Argentina's capital Buenos Aires is home to one of the most famous, or infamous, football rivalries in the world.

Boca Juniors and River Plate are the country's biggest football clubs and they have dominated the national championships for the last 70 years.

More than half of the country's football fans support one of these clubs and their love/hate relationship is woven into the fabric of life in the city, as Candace Piette discovers.
