US Church ordains lesbian bishop

The Episcopal Church in the United States has ordained an openly lesbian bishop.

The consecration of Mary Glasspool in Los Angeles comes despite warnings from other parts of the Anglican Church that it could worsen the already bitter dispute over sexuality.
