The first ever Warrior Games, an Olympic-style event for wounded US servicemen and veterans, are taking place in Colorado.

Sgt Nathan Haddad joined the army at 18 and wanted to serve until he was 60, but a serious shoulder injury has rendered him unfit for duty.

Competing in archery and marksmanship, he says preparation for the Games has helped him adjust to life outside the armed forces.

Laura Trevelyan reports from Fort Drum, New York state.
