Death of Marie Osmond son ruled suicide

Osmond said she was "devastated and in deep shock"

The death of the 18-year-old son of US singer Marie Osmond has been ruled as a suicide, coroner's officials in Los Angeles have said.

Toxicology results showed drugs or alcohol did not play a part in the death of Michael Blosil, who jumped from an apartment building in February.

He was one of five children adopted by Osmond and ex-husband Brian Blosil.

Osmond, 50, hosted TV variety programme the Donny & Marie Show with her brother in the late 1970s.

Speaking after her son's death, Osmond said she was "devastated and in deep shock by the tragic loss".
