US President Barack Obama on 'historic' nuclear treaty

President Obama has called the signing of a new nuclear weapons treaty "the first step on a longer journey of disarmament".

He and Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev signed the "historic completion" of the new Start treaty in Prague Castle in the Czech Republic.

A year ago, he made a speech in Prague detailing his vision of a world free of nuclear weapons.
