Brazilian press criticises national football team defeat

The Brazilian national football team has come under attack from the country's newspapers and media after losing a friendly match against Argentina in Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday.

Brazil lost one-nil and was jeered at the end by a crowd of nearly one-hundred-thousand in the Maracana Stadium.

In his newspaper column, Brazil's most famous former player Pele wrote simply that it was a game best forgotten.

It was Brazil's first defeat at home in more than five years.
