Horse rescued by helicopter in Arizona

A horse stranded for several days on a sandbar in the middle of an Arizona river has been rescued by helicopter.

The horse called Colorado became trapped on Friday when four riders tried to cross the Gila River and three were swept away by swift currents.

The rescue of Colorado, who was flown about half a mile, was paid for by an anonymous donor.
