Illinois government announces £1bn in education cuts

The state US President Barack Obama once called home has announced education cuts of more than £1bn in an effort to stave off further financial problems.

Illinois is not the only state to be having trouble paying the bills, and many are thought to be teetering on bankruptcy.

Michelle Fleury reports from Chicago.
