Driver rescued after Toyota Prius fails to stop on freeway


The driver of a Toyota Prius has been telling how police stopped his car after his accelerator became stuck on a San Diego freeway.

James Sikes said he was standing on the brake pedals, but that his car would not stop.

He called the police, and a patrol car was sent out to bring him to a halt in a controlled crash.

Todd Neibert described how he managed to manoevre his car in front of the Prius.
