Last Machu Picchu tourists airlifted from Peru

The police in Peru say they have evacuated the last of the tourists stranded by landslides and flooding near the ancient Inca ruins of Machu Picchu.

A total of nearly 4,000 tourists and local residents have now left the area, ferried out by helicopters.

Two visitors from the US describe their anticipation, moments before they were evacuated.
