Second funeral held for Chilean activist Victor Jara

A funeral has been held in the Chilean capital for Victor Jara, a folk singer and political activist who became a symbol of opposition to the military government of General Augusto Pinochet.

Mr Jara was arrested, tortured and killed just days after the coup that brought Pinochet to power in 1973.

Earlier this year his body was exhumed as part of the investigation into his murder.

Gideon Long reports from Santiago.
