Pushchair amputation risk recall

Pushchair-maker Maclaren USA has announced a recall of one million pushchairs in the US after a dozen children had their fingertips amputated in the hinge.

The amputations happened when children placed their finger in the hinge while the pushchair, or stroller, was being unfolded.

The recall involves all Maclaren single and double umbrella pushchairs.

The firm has urged consumers to stop using the pushchairs immediately and to contact it for a repair kit. Alix Kroeger reports.
