Obama outlines unemployment plans

US President Barack Obama has announced new legislation that he says will encourage the creation of jobs, and provide relief for struggling families across the US.

Speaking after the announcement that US unemployment figures had risen to 10.2% in October, Mr Obama said that the new bill, which he signed on Friday, would give an additional 700,000 Americans an extension to their benefits.
