Obama: Entire nation is grieving

US President Barack Obama has said that "friends, family and the entire nation" are grieving for those who lost their lives after a US major opened fire at Fort Hood on Thursday.

Speaking outside the White House, Mr Obama told journalists that flags at Federal buildings including the White House will fly at half staff until Veteran's day, in tribute.
