A convicted rapist, living in a house in Ohio where several bodies have been found, has appeared in court under tight security.

50 year old Anthony Sowell was charged with five counts of aggravated murder.

Assistant County Prosecutor Brian Murphy called Sowell "an incredibly dangerous threat to the public" and said he could face the death penalty if convicted.

Sowell served 15 years in prison for a 1989 rape.
