US town's verdict on Obama

A year ago Barack Obama and John McCain were in the home stretch of an election campaign that would produce an historic outcome.

Throughout that battle the BBC turned to the people of Culpeper, Virginia as a bellweather of voters' concerns, key issues, and gut feelings about the candidates and their parties.

The BBC's Matt Frei returns to Culpeper for the first in a series of stories examining just how much has really changed in the year since Tuesday 4th November, 2008.
