Train set ablaze after delays

Train passengers in Brazil rampaged through a station and set a train on fire in protest against delays.

Passengers at a Rio de Janeiro station became agitated at the news that they would not be reimbursed for a service interruption due to technical failure.

Local media reported that the train company fixed the problematic train within twelve minutes but passengers on board forced open the doors and spilled out onto the tracks after the conductor abandoned the train and left them locked inside.

Alix Kroeger reports.
