Brown optimistic about G20 plans

Prime Minister Gordon Brown told journalists at the G20 meeting in Pittsburgh that member countries will press ahead with measures that would protect the global economy.

He said the G20 was going to take a tough stance on the matter and there would be no return to "the bad old days".

Mr Brown spoke following a meeting with US President Barack Obama.
