Obama's hopes for race row solution

In an attempt to defuse a race row involving a black Harvard professor and a white police officer, President Barack Obama has invited both men to the White House for a drink.

Henry Louis Gates and Jim Crowley will meet the president for a conciliatory beer after an incident at the professor's home in Cambridge, Massachusetts escalated into a nationwide row about race.

Matthew Price reports from Massachusetts.
