Hillary Clinton interview in full

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who is attending a regional summit in Thailand, has said Washington's attempts to engage with Iran were on hold.

At the summit Mrs Clinton has condemned Burma, calling for the release of Aung San Suu Kyi and she has called for North Korea to end its nuclear programme.

Speaking in an interview with the BBC's Kim Ghattas, Mrs Clinton has discussed her position on building relationships with Burma, North Korea and Iran.

Mrs Clinton also shares her expectations for the Afghanistan elections and her part in the Northern Ireland peace process.
