US Army chief on Afghan mission

"If we get it right, the Afghan people will turn the Taliban out". That's the view of America's highest ranking military figure on the war in Afghanistan.

In an interview with the BBC, Admiral Michael Mullen, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of staff, said he was confident he now had enough forces to hold territory recaptured from the Taleban - but the operation needed more time.
