Honduran protesters gather at palace

Supporters of the Honduran President Manuel Zelaya, who has been forced out of the the country, have built makeshift barricades to block road access to the presidential palace in Tegucigalpa.

Troops with riot shields lined the interior of the palace as supporters gathered and vowed to defend Mr Zelaya.

Mr Zelaya was removed by the army amid a power struggle over his plans for constitutional change.
