At least one person has been killed, as south western Mexico felt the force of the first Pacific season hurricane.

Hurricane Andres reached maximum wind speeds of almost 75 miles per hour, according to the US National Hurricane Center.

It weakened to become a tropical storm, resulting in heavy rain on Mexico's Pacific coast.

This video shows cars struggling through the streets in the states of Colima and Michoacan.
