US admits Afghan airstrike errors

A US military report has accepted that an estimated 26 Afghan civilians died in airstrikes last month, but acknowledges the figure could be higher.

The Afghan government said 140 civilians were killed in the strikes on Taliban targets on 4 May.

The report said the seven attacks were justified, but three had not complied with military guidelines.

Jon Donnison reports from Washington.
