Pilot on moment plane lost power

The pilot who successfully ditched a US Airways passenger plane in the Hudson River in New York has described the moment his aircraft was hit by birds and lost power.

All 155 people on board survived the accident last month. Addressing a house committee in Washington, Chesley Sullenberger said the plane was heading towards 3,000 ft when it was struck.
