President Barack Obama has offered his condolences to the victims of the Buffalo plane crash.

He made the remarks during a scheduled address to members of The Business Council at the White House.

He paid his respects in particular to crash victim Beverly Eckert, a widow of the 9/11 terror attacks, whom he had met recently.

She was flying to Buffalo to mark what would have been her husband's 58th birthday.
