Explore: Argentina's Dirty War

The horror of what happened during Argentina's brutal military dictatorship, between 1976 and 1983, is once again dividing the country. The government is finally bringing prosecutions against the alleged perpetrators of the kidnapping and murder of left-wingers.

Some of the victims had children who were sent away for adoption. One of those children was Maria Belen Gentile, whose parents were killed in their early 20s.

Explore, a new travel-based journalism series, provides an insight into exotic parts of the world, revealing stories about the environment, globalisation, and politics. Argentina's Dirty War is on BBC Two at 2320 GMT, on Thursday, 29 January.
